Masuaku did okay yesterday. I can't fault him too much; apart from when he fell asleep (which he does a lot) and allowed Mitrović to sneak in around him to almost head in.

He's a poor left-back though and I've no idea how he gets the nod over Cresswell.

Cresswell is easily the better left-back, for me.

Massuaka passing shocking but noble's has been quite shocking despite setting up the first goal his shorter passing has been quite bad of late.

That's bollocks. He's the current hate figure, and no problem when he is shit to give him stick, but he was good yesterday.

I thought Masuaku was his usual self, Dog shit!! Too far away from his player, and his passing is terrible. Crestwell must be awful in training not to get the nod over him!!

Excellent goals and well taken chances, brilliant Snodgrass strike. Thought Fab, Antonio, Anderson, Zabaleta stood out, our passing was abysmal at the start until the first goal. Fulham should have gone in ahead on the balance of play. Our midfield couldn't get the ball and our fence was cut open several times. Fabianski saved us along with there bad finishing.

Second half we competed better improved passing and defending. They had 16 shots to our 6 but we were more clinical. Not a particularly good performance though, conditions were awful, still you wouldn't get away with that against a better team with a bit of quality. Doesn't make me feel confident v Watford, but as always it depends which West Ham turn up.

He hasn't had a good season, and he is prone to stupid errors, and by all means dig him out when he's shit.

He was very good yesterday. Even I held my hands up when Kouyate had a good game last year. I can't remember who it was against, but I said so straight after the game.

I also thought Masuaku was good, esp. 2nd half.

How on earth are you digging out Masuaku for yesterday?

He was excellent, one of our better players.

Mike Dean is a horrible, snidey, jumped up shit. Unfortunately he's one of the better English refs which doesn't say much for the standards...

Re: Fulham v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 0-2
Any one else think Mike Dean is a cheating bastard. The back pass to the keeper that went a yard out of play, and he waves play on!! Bloke has always been shit. I did like Big Fat John Hartson doing the commentary.

Great to see us living up to the £100M hype at last.
We're comfortably ahead of the likes of Fulham, Huddersfield, Newcastle, Cardiff who I think will struggle to stay up.

Anderson looks fitter. He's got used to the pace & physical side of the PL. Antonio also seems to be picking up pace and improving game by game. Thought they both did well today. Zabaleta again, looks like he's got another 2 yrs in the tank.

The spine of Fab - Diop - Balbuena - Rice looks very solid and don't seem to be injury prone so hopefully we can enjoy some consistency there.

Fulham did well and should have taken the lead but their attacks looked like flailing attempts whilst we attacked with more solidity & sense of purpose I thought. Their brittle confidence definitely played a part once we went ahead.
As the US commentators said, we had a lot of 1st teamers out and can look forward to them returning which should make 2019 a lot more enjoyable.

It will be interesting to see how we fare vs the top teams again after December. Looks very promising I'd say.
I reckon we could win the next 4 games too

Re: Fulham v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 0-2
Someone gave me 2 today in the neutral got soaked walking there but really enjoyed the view in the ground, I had forgotten how close to the pitch it is there, so different to the LS not been there since it was all terracing. Proper ground.

We played terrible the first 20 and fab kept us in it. Then settled down after scoring. They kept on getting down our left wing as Masuaku was asleep most of the time again. The only reason they didn't score several first half was bad finishing.

2nd half we played better, Antonio looked more like his old self, strong in the duels and cool finish, Anderson caused them problems, great cutback for Snodders great strike.

Watford will be much harder

Great win but scrappy performance
Funny how we play really well against the goon city and spuds and get fuck all and play pretty poorly today and get what was a pretty easy win

This season is turning out to be as enjoyable as Super Slav's first. Long may it continue.

I heard during the commentary that Pelle has said he wants to continue managing until he's 75. I could see him turning us into an established CL team in that time.

JLAP, sorry been out having a few beers on the way back from Fulham.
Balbuena song, to the tune of ABBA’s Voulez Vous:

Balbuena, solid at the back / Balbuena he can take a whack / Balbuena he will stop you scoring goals.

Also the Felipe Anderson song to the tune of Mrs Robinson got a few airings.
